Pro Football Talk recently released their Mt.  Rushmore for the Baltimore Ravens.  They selected Ray Lewis, Johnathan Ogden, Ozzie Newsome, and Joe Flacco.  Joe Flacco got picked over Ed Reed.  That has stirred quite the firestorm this weekend on The Fan.  Derrick Mason offered his opinion on The Bruce Cunningham Show heard Saturdays 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

“I’m a Flacco fan and always will be,”  Mason said, “but that’s just mesmerizing that Ed Reed is not up there.  If you’re gonna put Ray Lewis [up there], then your second choice should be Johnathan Ogden or Ed Reed.”

The retired All-Pro wide receiver continued to delve deeper into the Mt. Rushmore discussion.  Furthering his case for Ed Reed, “When you talk Mt. Rushmore, you don’t talk about 3 or 4 years.  You talk a career.”

Derrick Mason was released by the Baltimore Ravens after the 2010 season.  Mason had 471 receptions for 5777 in six seasons for the club.
