3 Md. Teens Hurt In Fiery Crash With Tractor Trailer

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Authorities in Prince George's County say three teens were injured when a car collided with a tractor trailer and caught fire.

Police say the tractor trailer was pulling into a warehouse on Ardwick Ardmore Road just before midnight Tuesday when the crash occurred. The car was wedged beneath the trailer, but the three teens in the car escaped before the vehicles caught fire.

Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the tractor trailer was carrying material used to manufacture mattresses. It took fire crews about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

Brady says the teens were taken to area trauma centers, but the driver of the truck was not seriously injured.

Ardwick Ardmore Road is closed while police investigate the crash and debris is cleared.
