WEATHER BLOG: Sayonara, High Heat

The weather remained hot and humid today as we topped out around 93 degrees at BWI with dew points near 70.

The good news is that this will be the last day of the high heat! A cold front will move through tomorrow morning, but it will end up stalling out, allowing more afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms to develop along it, even into the start of the work-week.

The front should dissipate as we head into Tuesday, but as it does, long range models are in agreement that another potent upper-level disturbance and surface cold front will approach the region on Tuesday, keeping more showers and t-storms in the forecast.

Overall, next week looks to be unsettled and less hot. However, it will remain humid.
