2 Dead After Single Vehicle Crash In Woodbine

WOODBINE, Md. (AP) -- Police in Howard County say two people are dead after a single vehicle crash in Woodbine.

Police say the crash happened at about 7 p.m. Friday. Police say the driver of a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling southwest on Daisy Road when he left the road and hit a tree. The driver and passenger both died. Police say both were wearing their seatbelts and the primary cause of the crash appears to be excessive speed.

Police identified the driver of the vehicle as 22-year-old John Reuben Graybeal of Woodbine and his passenger as 20-year-old Leah Christine Mcelgunn of Catonsville.
