Suspect Arrested Following Wild Chase Through Md. & Parts Of D.C.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — High speed chase. A man leads police from Baltimore County all the way to Washington, D.C. and back into Maryland.

It started around 9 p.m. Friday when police in Towson tried to stop a man wanted for assault.

He sped off, driving from the Beltway to Route 29.

Police followed him down Route 29 all the way into D.C.

Officers then used spike strips to blow out the suspect’s tires, but he drove on rims until he was finally stopped on Wisconsin Avenue in Montgomery County.

That suspect is now in police custody. He’s been identified as Robert Allen Fugate.

There’ s no word if anyone was injured in the chaos.
