Panda-monium: Caretakers At National Zoo Await Evaluation Of Newborn Cub
WASHINGTON (WJZ) -- The new addition at the National Zoo is getting a lot of attention.
A team of panda caretakers hope to get a first look at the panda cub born Friday evening.
Right now, the cub is about the size of a stick of butter.
But caretakers won't be able to do their evaluation until mama bear gives them the opportunity.
Zookeepers are keeping a close watch on mom and her cub because the first few weeks are very critical for both.
