Man Pleads Guilty To Shooting Law Enforcer

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Cambridge man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder of a federal officer during a shootout.

Tayvon Dobson, 23, also pleaded guilty to using a gun during the attempted murder in federal court in Baltimore on Tuesday. A plea agreement, which must be accepted by the judge, calls for a term of between 24 and 30 years in prison at sentencing Oct. 31.

According to his plea, Dobson fired upon law enforcement officers who went to his home on Feb. 29, 2012 to serve a warrant. One officer was shot in the shoulder.
