WEATHER BLOG: Warm, Muggy Holiday

#mdwx: Labor Day will likely be quite similar to what we had Sunday. It will be warm and muggy with more clouds than sun and more scattered shower and thunderstorm activity which will be slow moving and could produce heavy downpours. The best chance for these will be in the afternoon and evening, though rapid refresh models are showing some rain in the region during the early morning as well.

A more significant system will approach from the west Monday night and should get out of the way by Tuesday morning. The system is composed of a cold front that will usher dry and cool air in to our neighborhood starting Tuesday afternoon. High pressure will build into the region and that will take us into the weekend with increasing sunshine and highs in the low 80s.
