Ocean City Police Find Gun, Knives In Car During Stop
OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Ocean City police say they pulled over two young men with a handgun, ammunition, three large knives and a metal throwing tomahawk in their car.
The traffic stop occurred on Thursday afternoon. Police say they pulled over Charles Reynolds, 22, of Bristow, Va., for a seatbelt violation.
Police say they saw used shotgun shell cartridges in the vehicle and a large folding knife. Police say Reynolds told them there was a loaded semi-automatic .45-caliber handgun in the car. Officers searched the car and found that gun along with the other weapons.
Reynolds and his passenger, 21-year-old Ryan Pritchard, have been charged with two counts each of possession of a concealed deadly weapon and other offenses. Pritchard is also from Bristow, Va.
