BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WJZ)— Police in Anne Arundel County are searching for two teenagers suspected of an overnight attempted robbery in Brooklyn Park.

Police say it happened around 5 a.m. Friday in the 4000-block of Ritchie Highway.

A 53-year-old man said as he was walking down the street, he noticed a black two door Honda Accord driving slowly. Inside were two African-American male teenagers.

Police say the vehicle then circled around the block and drove by the victim a second time. This time, a passenger then exited the vehicle, started walking toward the victim and pointed a handgun at the victim while threatening to shoot him.

The victim says he then begin to run away and the suspect started to chase him, but stopped when he got close to a 7-Eleven store. The suspect then ran back to the black Honda and the vehicle fled westward on 1st Avenue toward Belle Grove Road.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.
