NEW YORK, NY - MAY 12: Troy Brouwer #20 of the Washington Capitals celebrates after Roman Hamrlik #44 scored a goal in the third period against goalie Henrik Lundqvist #30 of the New York Rangers in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Semifinals during the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Madison Square Garden on May 12, 2012 in New York City. Troy Brouwer is a right winger for the Washington Capitals who joined Ed & Steve to talk about the upcoming Baltimore Hockey Classic against the Boston Bruins at the Baltimore Arena Tuesday September 17th.
Troy won a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks back in 2010, he is the only member of the Capitals to have won the Cup. Some have argued for Troy to be the captain of the Capitals due to recent playoff struggles under current captain Alex Ovechkin.
Troy had a great season last year scoring 19 goals and tallying 33 points in the shortened 48 game season. Troy plays every role you could want a hockey player to accomplish. He can put the puck in the net like a sniper he can be a playmaker and setup man, and he is not afraid to drop the goves and defend himself and his teammates.
