WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — Fire officials say a 17-year-old has been charged after fireworks were discharged in a toilet at a Westminster high school.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office says officials at Winter’s Mill High School called authorities about 11:30 a.m. Thursday after an illegal firework was discharged in a toilet in the men’s locker room. Damage, which was limited to the toilet, was estimated at $400.

The youth has been charged with reckless endangerment and other offenses.
