WEATHER BLOG: A Tranquil Forecast

#mdwx: We have a very tranquil period of weather in store for us this week. High pressure will dominate our forecast into the first half of the upcoming weekend.

Expect plenty of sunshine with highs trending closer to normal (around 75) for this time of year starting Tuesday. On Wednesday, we could see a few high clouds make their way into the region, associated with a disturbance to our west.

For now though, no rainfall is expected to move in from this system as it is forecast to slide just to our south on Thursday.

Some slightly cooler air will be pulled south into the area on Friday as a fresh high builds in from the north.

Rather low confidence remains in place for the long range on exactly how and when a cold front will transpire across the region by early next week. Some models show it moving in late Sunday.

Either way, none of the models show any type of significant precipitation in the forecast by early next week.
