Towson Rallies To Defeat Stony Brook 35-21

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -- Darius Victor had only five carries, but one was for a 31-yard touchdown with 2:38 left, as unbeaten Towson scored 18 unanswered points to rally past Stony Brook 35-21 Saturday night.

Victor's TD capped a 10-play, 96-yard drive that put Towson (5-0, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) ahead for the first time of the night 28-21.   During Stony Brook's (1-3, 1-2) ensuing offensive series, Lyle Negron fumbled when sacked by Ryan Delaire.  Donnell Lewis returned the fumble 43 yards to put the Tigers up 35-21 with 42 seconds to play and preserved the Tigers nine-game winning streak.

Terrence West led the Tigers with 26 carries for 150 yards and one touchdown.

The Towson defense, which averages 12.2 points a game, quickly fell behind 14-0 and trailed until Victor's fourth quarter score.

James Kenner and Jameel Poteat each rushed for a touchdown to lead the Seawolves.
