No. 3-ranked Clemson has the same goal. The Seminoles can’t afford an ACC loss outside of the Oct. 19 trip to Clemson. The Terrapins are off to their best start since 2001 and have tied their win total from 2012. Randy Edsall seeks his first winning season in three years as Maryland coach.
The Terrapins are the first pass-heavy team the Seminoles have played in 2013. Maryland quarterback C.J. Brown leads the ACC in total offense with 331.5 yards per game, including 70.8 yards rushing per game. He is tied for the conference lead with six touchdowns rushing and is No. 2 with a pass efficiency of 176.5. The No. 4-ranked pass defense in FBS will be tested for the first time this season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Florida State: Freshman defensive back Jalen Ramsey started the first three games at cornerback then started at safety against Boston College due to injury. He has 19 tackles, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble.
Maryland: Receiver Stefon Diggs leads the ACC with 547 all-purpose yards. The sophomore is a danger in every offensive facet of the game. He was No. 8 in FBS last season with 1,896 all-purpose yards.
