Police: Man Found Slain At Silver Spring Apartment

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say a northern Virginia man was found slain at a Silver Spring apartment.

Officers responded to a woman's 911 call from an apartment on East West Highway early Sunday. Police say two men were also inside the apartment, including one man who was unresponsive and suffering from what appeared to be cutting wounds. The man, identified as 23-year-old Mark Waugh of Great Falls, Va., was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say the second man, Rahul Gupta, was taken into custody and online court records show he is charged with second-degree murder.

Police say Gupta, 24, has an address in McLean, Va., but is also known to frequent the East West Highway address.
