WEATHER BLOG: Pleasant To Start The Week

#mdwx: While it took nearly the entire weekend for clouds to eventually begin to break up, Monday is looking like it will be nicer overall!

Sunshine is finally starting to peek through the low cloud deck as an area of high pressure over the northeast continues to build down into portions of the mid-Atlantic allowing for some drier air to filter into central Maryland.

Our maps do show a front located in western portions of New York and Pennsylvania but that is expected to dry out and fall apart as it moves over the Appalachian mountains by early Monday afternoon.

Tuesday should yield a nice day with temps in the lower 70s and a mix of clouds and sun. Wednesday, we will probably see more in the way of cloud cover but it will also be one of the warmest days out of the next seven. A cold front will arrive on Wednesday night, bringing the chances for a shower or two into the area.
