Woman Charged In Fatal Apartment Stabbing
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A domestic incident spirals out of control in Baltimore City.
Police say a fight broke out between Gabrielle Smith and Latreshia Gowdy Monday.
According to police reports, Gowdy arrived at her ex-husband's apartment to pick up their 3-year-old son.
When she approached, she noticed Smith sitting on the steps.
That's when police say Gowdy grabbed a beer bottle and threatened Smith.
A fight then broke out between the two women.
During the incident, Smith pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed Gowdy in the arm and abdomen.
Gowdy was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Smith now faces several charges, including second-degree murder.
