Second Man Arrested In Port Deposit Slaying

PORT DEPOSIT, Md. (AP) -- The Cecil County Sheriff's Office says a second man has been arrested on first-degree murder charges following a fatal shooting in Port Deposit.

John Green III, 28, was arrested Friday and charged in the death of Jeffrey Myers.

Myers was shot and killed inside a pickup truck at the end of his driveway in Port Deposit on Wednesday. According to the sheriff's office, a witness saw someone matching Green's description shooting into the truck.

Another man, 24-year-old Jonathan Copeland, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder in Myers' death. The sheriff's office says Copeland was seen arguing with Myers on Monday.

Lt. Michael Holmes of the sheriff's office says neither man had legal representation at the time of his arrest. Online court records don't indicate that the men have lawyers.
