Electrical Work Means No School At McDaniel

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- McDaniel College in Westminster says it's canceling classes for the second time this week because of electrical problems.

Spokeswoman Cheryl Knauer says there are no classes Thursday because four buildings are still without power from an outage that began Sunday, when a transformer failed.

Classes were canceled Monday. They were held at temporary locations Tuesday and Wednesday.

Knauer says line work on Thursday could temporarily disrupt the power supply, so the campus is closed.

She says classes should resume Friday, with power fully restored.
