Man Who Was Driver In 22 Robberies Sentenced
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for being the getaway driver in 22 armed robberies.
Rico Bias, 34, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Baltimore.
According to his plea agreement, between January and June 2012, Bias conspired with others to rob convenience stores, fast food restaurants and other businesses. A conspirator brandished a gun during the crimes, and a customer was shot in one robbery.
Prosecutors say Bias obtained and drove the getaway cars in each of the robberies.
