WEATHER BLOG: Another Cold Day

Temperatures will be moderating some tomorrow and Monday before a possible minor setback in the trend Tuesday. That minor setback Tuesday will be behind a storm system that will be evolving down off the Southeast coast Monday and tracking northward in the Atlantic that may have its rain shield far enough west to clip us Monday night. A slice of high pressure should move in for Wednesday to promote sunshine and an upward trend of temperatures will resume. The slice of surface high pressure will slide to the east with a warmer southwest flow developing Thursday and lasting into Friday ahead of a front that will spread some wet weather across the area Friday and colder weather back into the region for next weekend.

Skies will start off mostly sunny today as high pressure over New England hangs on.
However, a disturbance moving through the northern Great Lakes will spread a shield of
high and mid level clouds from west to east during the day. This disturbance will keep skies on the cloudier side, but the flow will turn more southerly which will bring a milder air mass into the region.
