WEATHER BLOG: Seasonable

Partly cloudy skies cover the region early this morning with temperatures in the mid 20s to low 30s.

A weak "trough" of low pressure will move east of New Jersey this morning while another weak low pressure system moves across the eastern Great Lakes. Between these 2 weak weather systems, drier air will filter over the region today, bringing peeks of sunshine and milder temperatures. Indeed, after having high temps near 40 the past 3 days, temperatures this afternoon will rise well into the 40s. Little change is expected through Tuesday as a high pressure zone moves slowly from the Ohio Valley to the Middle Atlantic Coast. In the meantime, a zone of low pressure will form off the Carolina coast and move northeast, but the clouds and rain from the low will stay well east of the area. Sky conditions will remain partly cloudy tonight through Tuesday, with the most amount of sunshine expected on Tuesday as the high pressure zone crests over the region.
