WEATHER BLOG: Mild Spell

We've been socked in with clouds as high pressure to our north resulted in a moist easterly flow across the region. We also have a weak disturbance crossing through the mountains that will pass without incident leaving us dry into the overnight.

Surface low pressure that formed off of the Carolina coast continues to trend farther east with each subsequent model run and no longer poses a precipitation threat to the region. Expect clouds to persist throughout the night with moisture remaining locked in place.

Improvement in the form of increasing sunshine will begin by Tuesday afternoon. High pressure will then return to dominate at the surface and aloft helping temps reach near-normal values for early December. Tranquil, comfortable conditions will persist through the day on Wednesday ahead of a pesky surface low that will mark major changes for the rest of the week and weekend ahead.
