WASHINGTON (AP) — A District of Columbia police officer charged with producing child pornography is due in federal court for a bond review.

Officer Marc Washington, a seven-year veteran of the police force, is expected before U.S. Magistrate Judge John Facciola on Thursday afternoon.

He was arrested this week on charges that he took nude pictures of a 15-year-old girl when she had returned home after being reported missing. Prosecutors say Washington went to the girl’s bedroom and asked her to take off her top and bra so he could take pictures of any injuries. Court documents say Washington took pictures of the girl’s breasts and told her to put her clothes back on.

Washington was ordered held without bond during his first court appearance Tuesday.
