Man Charged With Killing His Mother In Cecil Co.

ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police have charged the son of a 64-year-old woman found dead in her Cecil County home with first-degree murder.

Jane Kyle was found dead Sunday in the bathroom of her home on Pinder Avenue in Elkton.

On Monday troopers charged her son, 42-year-old Clarence McCall. Authorities say McCall had been living with Kyle since the beginning of the year.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says Kyle suffered multiple stab wounds in her upper torso.

Troopers say they received reports of McCall running in and out of traffic Sunday night. He was arrested near a local hotel.

Authorities say McCall stole his mother's truck and salvaged the vehicle at a nearby recycling center. The truck was recovered.

McCall is being held without bail.
