Man Victim Of Attempted Armed Robbery In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)— Police say a man walking in a residential neighborhood in Glen Burnie became a victim of armed robbery.

It happened around 8:42 p.m. Saturday. A  32-year-old man was walking along Oak Manor Drive when he says a white Ford or GMC truck with chrome rims stopped in the roadway.

Police say two men got out of the car, approached the victim, announced a robbery and one of the suspects displayed a handgun.

Police say the suspect with the handgun then hit the victim on his jaw with the handgun and demanded money.

When the victim told the suspects he didn't have any money, they returned to their truck and drove east on Oak Manor Drive.

The victim sustained minor injuries to his face, knee and hand, but refused medical treatment.

Officers searched the area, but did not find the suspects.

One suspect is described as a lighter skinned black male, 5'3"-5'5", 135 pounds with shoulder length dreadlocks, unknown age, last seen wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and balaclava. The other suspect is described as a black male 5'7"-5'8", 125 pounds, 26-28 years old, last seen wearing a dark blue or black sweatshirt and blue jeans.
