WEATHER BLOG: Saturday Night

Rain Saturday evening as the circulation around the storm system pulls warmer air north into the area. Before that happens, some parts of the area will end up with an inch or so of snow, maybe a couple of inches in some of the suburbs and others can get a period of freezing rain.

For Saturday night, however, we are basically forecasting rain. The rain can fall heavily at times during the evening and through the middle of the night before it tapers off and ends.

As the storm moves away, we have dry weather and moderate temperature for Sunday with sunny intervals and a gusty wind from the northwest. A colder air mass then moves in for Sunday night and Monday but the weather stays dry with high pressure approaching from the west.
