Md. Man Sentenced For Possessing Child Pornography
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Maryland man has been sentenced to five years in prison for traveling to Washington to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
Akshay Rajashekar, 19, of Salisbury had also pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. He was sentenced Monday in federal court in Washington.
According to the government's evidence, Rajashekar contacted an undercover FBI officer on a social networking site. Prosecutors say Rajashekar believed the officer was the father of an under-aged girl, and arranged to meet.
Authorities say he was arrested when he arrived at the meeting place in Washington.
