Steve Stewart is currently the pre-game host and play-by-play announcer for the Kansas City Royals Radio network.
Steve joined Ed & Steve to talk about the Orioles trading with the Royals to acquire David Lough.
Steve said that he believes the Orioles got themselves a very good player and didn’t give up much to acquire him. Steve also said David is the kind of guy who will never be out worked or out hustled and is a fan favorite who will be missed in Kansas City.
Steve believes David is a younger cheaper version of Nate McLouth. But Steve did say that we don’t know what his ceiling is where as McLouth is what he is. Steve said that while Lough is not a burner he runs very well and is a heads up base runner.
Steve said the major question surrounding this acquisition is whether or not Lough is an everyday outfielder or a platoon guy.
