Trucks, Hauling Vehicle Destroyed At Volvo Plant

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Fire officials say three trucks and a garbage-hauling vehicle were destroyed at the Volvo Powertrain facility near Hagerstown.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire was reported about 6:30 a.m. Monday after an employee discovered it.

Officials tell The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown that the four vehicles were parked about 3 to 4 feet apart. Damage is estimated at $75,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
