WEATHER BLOG: Winter Is Back

Despite the official arrival of winter back on Saturday, our weather recently has been behaving more like April! Plenty of record high temps fell by the wayside over the weekend with highs topping out in the 70s!

Now things are changing, though. Northwesterly breezes behind a low pressure wave along a slow moving cold front are now bringing in much cooler air. This will yield highs in the upper 30s to low 40s for Christmas Eve. It will be feeling a lot more like winter by Tuesday.

We are expecting a dry forecast for the next several days. However, we have to point out that a few flurries or tiny snow shower is possible in central Maryland Tuesday afternoon and early evening associated with a disturbance in the upper level of the atmosphere. But it is highly doubtful that this will bring us any kind of resemblance for a "White Christmas," though it will help to get us all in the holiday spirit.
