BALTIMORE (AP) — Taariq Cephas made two free throws with 24 seconds remaining and Brandon St. Louis stole the ball in the final second to secure a 54-53 victory for Coppin State over Delaware State Monday night.

Albert Thomas was going up for a game-winning shot attempt when St. Louis slapped the ball away to assure the victory for Coppin State (8-14, 5-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

Andre Armstrong, who was 3 of 6 from beyond the arc, led the Eagles with 13 points. Dallas Gary had 12 and Arnold Fripp added 11 for the Eagles.

Kendall Gray had a dunk with 39 seconds remaining to give Delaware State, which is still looking for its first conference victory, a 53-52 lead. Kendal Williams then fouled Cephas and Cephas made both free throws for the victory.

Tyshawn Bell and Gray had 11 points apiece for Delaware State (4-17, 0-8).
