U. Of Maryland Police Investigate Dorm Room Thefts

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Police at the University of Maryland are warning of a series of thefts from dorm rooms on the College Park campus.

Police Chief David Mitchell said in a note to the campus community Friday that Denton, Centreville and Cumberland Hall have all been targeted by an unknown man over the last week.

On Friday morning, a man dressed in black and carrying two bags entered eight unlocked dorm rooms at Centreville and Cumberland Hall and stole personal belongings. Those thefts occurred one week after four similar incidents at Denton Hall.
