Inmate Convicted Of Killing Cellmate Sentenced To Life

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- An inmate convicted of stomping his cellmate to death has been sentenced to life in prison.

Prosecutors say Corgiss Ross, 45, was convicted on Friday of first-degree murder in the death of Jerod Pridget, 19.

Ross and Pridget were inmates at the Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland. Authorities say on Nov. 26, 2012, Pridget was found in his cell, bleeding from massive head injuries. He died at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
