WEATHER BLOG: Perfect April Day

A ridge of high pressure will nose its way into the region, making for a pleasant, albeit a touch cool, Sunday. Skies will be generally be partly sunny as some remnant clouds rotate around a departing upper low to the northeast.

Meanwhile, active weather will stir across the nation's midsection as a strong area of low pressure ejects out of the Rockies and taps into warm and moist Gulf Moisture. This will set the stage for a multi-day severe weather event that will slowly progress from west to east, culminating in some very active weather across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, particularly from Tuesday night through Wednesday night.

There will be rather warm and even humid conditions on Thursday, followed by seasonable conditions Friday to round out the work week.
