PREAKNESS PREDICTIONS WITH KEITH FEUSTLE
Pimlico odds maker Keith Fuestle joined Scott and Jeremy on Thursday to give his predictions for Saturdays 139th running of the Preakness Stakes. Keith let it be known that he has no personal feeling "Basically I'm just trying to judge the public opinion. I'm not handicapping the race per say as I like it, I'm just setting the odds as according to when those horses break out of the gate, and as a guide to the gambling public."
Weather is expected to be an issue this weekend, Jeremy asked how could the wet weather effect the horses and the lines. "Pimlico surface is very quick to dry out and if this rain gets out of here by later tomorrow it will be fast on Saturday. That's when the breeding comes into play or if the horse has an established wet track record. Ride on Curlin does have a win in a third out of two starts on a wet track so that could move him up front."
And finally Scott got Keith to give up his morning line for the big race on Saturday. "We have California Chrome 3/5 on the morning line, Social inclusion is at 5 and we have Ride on Curlin at 10/1."
