After a fabulous holiday weekend, things will be changing.
With the warmth in place, the humidity will be on the increase Tuesday as dew points rise into the 60s.
The building warmth and humidity, combined with a shortwave disturbance approaching in the northwest flow aloft, will lead to a scattering of shower and thunderstorm activity Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday night.
Torrential downpours and locally strong winds will be the primary threat with these storms. The weather remains unsettled Wednesday as a backdoor cold front moves south across the area. Cooler temperatures to follow heading into Thursday.
