Peter Kostas on the Scott Garceau Show
Peter Kostas, analyst for CBS sports, talks about Pinehurst and having Phil Nickelson and Bubba Watson being his top two picks.
Kostas says there are two types of golfers, people who practice in tournaments and people who play. Tiger, being one of the golfers who likes to practice, while Nickelson likes to play. Tiger always wanted to practice his way into the majors through tournaments.
On the situation with Nickelson, Kostas believes Phil is telling the truth and did nothing wrong.
Kostas says that, “Nickelson is notorious for the use of tournaments for the prep work. The U.S. Open is one of the things that are missing for Phil on his resume.”
His goal is to win the Pinehurst this year, for 2014.
Concerning the weekend on the St. Jude classic apparently is set to go. According to Kostas it is a great golf course in great shape. Many big time golfers have won this classic.
