WEATHER BLOG: Calmer Saturday

The cold front has pushed through our region overnight with the base of the trough directly over eastern PA this morning. A few showers could be on eastern Long Island but the I-95 corridor and west will be dry. The base of trough will swing into New England this afternoon. High pressure currently over the Mid-West will move into the Great Lakes this afternoon. This high pressure will bring pleasant conditions to the Northeast. High temperatures will be around normal to a few degrees below normal today. Dew points will be much more comfortable today with starting in the 60s this past night dropping to the lower 50s by this afternoon. Tonight high pressure will be centered over the Northeast so temperatures will fall into the upper 50s along the i-95 corridor to possibly the upper 40s in the northwest suburbs. By Sunday high pressure will slide off the eastern seaboard. This will allow for temperatures to be about 5 to 7 degrees warmer. Skies will be mostly sunny with low humidity again with dew points in the 50s.
