WEATHER BLOG: Father's Day

A fantastic Father's Day weather-wise, with warmer afternoon temperatures than Saturday.

Surface high pressure will settle overhead Sunday night, leading to another cool one. The flow will turn around to the southwest on Monday, leading to a warmer, more humid flow. A weak front will pass Monday night and could lead to a spotty shower or thunderstorm.

Tuesday will be a hot and humid day in the I-95 corridor as heights reach their maximum for the week. A shortwave crossing the Ohio Valley may spark a few storms across western and central Pa. southeastward into the Delmarva. A well timed mid-level dry push could allow for a dry afternoon from Philly to NYC, however. Strengthening shortwave likely passes well to the north Tuesday night prior to another very hot and humid day on Wednesday.
