Police Investigate Gaithersburg Death As Homicide

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police are investigating the death of a Gaithersburg woman as a homicide.

Police were called to a home Sunday morning in the 18300 block of Hallmark Way for the report of a suspicious situation. Officers found a 47-year-old woman dead.

Detectives are preliminarily investigating the death as a homicide, and police say a suspect is in custody. An investigation is active and ongoing. But police are not immediately releasing additional details.
