NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and CBS Sports Color Commentator Phil Simms joined the Scott Garceau Show

NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and CBS Sports Color Commentator Phil Simms joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to preview the Thursday night match up between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. Thursday's game will be the first game to be simulcast on CBS and the NFL Network.
In anticipation of the big game Phil has been watching tape and has gotten most of his work on the Steelers done. He believes if Pittsburgh can play like they did Sunday, the Ravens have a tough task Thursday night. "I was watching the first half of the Steelers and Browns and I thought man this team is ready to go!"

Scott asked Phil if he believes that the Ravens made the correct move in cutting Ray Rice. "What could they have done, hey can only go by the information that has been given to them. I don't know what to say."

Every game the commentators have some keys to the game; Simms believes that Thursday night will come down to the play of the offensive line in the trenches. "Don't let you quarterback get hit so much… But the Ravens have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. The number one goal of that football team has to make sure you're putting him in a position to always succeed. And first and foremost that means pass protection."
