WEATHER BLOG: Sunny & Fall-Like Friday

Following yesterday's rainfall, we will be moving closer to fall over the next couple of days, but at least for today and tomorrow temperatures will maintain reasonable levels before the surge of cold air finally reaches the region.

Today and tomorrow will still be running above normal buy about 5-10 degrees each day.

We also look reasonably dry over the next couple of days.

A few spotty showers will occur closer to the Great Lakes and fog will have a chance at forming each of the next couple of early mornings, however in terms of precipitation in the city the the next couple of days, chances are pretty low.

On Saturday night, a shortwave will rotate around the upper trough sitting in wait over the Great Lakes, giving it the boost it needs to begin moving east.

This will finally bring significant cold air advection and temperatures will respond appropriately.

Sunday looks rather cool, more like November than October, and while temperatures will fluctuate between normal and Sunday's temps for the remainder of the forecast, the general trend is cooler.

Upper level ridging and surface high pressure will attempt to work into the region Monday, and as a result Monday looks quite nice, despite cooler temperatures.
