Eye On The Enemy: Week 8 Cincinnati Bengals

Brad Johansen, with WKRC in Cincinnati, joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to talk about The Ravens upcoming game against The Bengals. The Bengals started out their season tough and looked like they were going to be the team to beat this season.  However, after winning their first 3 games, they haven't had a win since September 21st.  You have to ask, there's gotta be more than AJ Green.   "AJ has been a huge loss," Johansen says.  They are down to their 3's and 4's and those backup players just aren't getting the job done.

Jeremy stated he thinks the defensive lineman, the front 7 and Carlos Dunlap were making it happen. Geno Atkins tore his ACL last Halloween and Johansen stated, "when you come back from an ACL, everyone heals differently.  He is healing slowly.  He doesn't want to talk about his injuries.  He's not there now and they have to wait for him to come back."  When the Bengals last played the Ravens, Akins came out of the game in the 4th quarter, with what Coach Marvin Lewis thought was dehydration.

The Bengals are in desperate need of a win and the Ravens are trying to keep the W's going for their team.  The Ravens "are playing terrific.  The Ravens are going to give the Bengals their best shot."  Johansen goes on to say, "Bengals backs are against the wall.  They are feeling the heat in Cincinnati. They haven't been as strong as they were last year.  It's a transition and they have to figure it out.  This is a bad week to figure it out."
Johansen says he hates giving predictions, but when asked to go ahead and give one he said,  "this will be a tight game and it will come down to the last minute," which is what happened when the Ravens last played to Bengals with a final score of 23-16, Bengals.
