WEATHER BLOG: Saturday

After a nice end to the work week, the weather looks as if it will cooperate this weekend and keep the good times rolling. That said, a cold front will cross the area late tonight into Sunday morning, bringing about breezy conditions on Sunday -- but with rainfall not expected and a good bit of sunshine, not really a lot to complain about!

Temperatures will remain mild with a westerly flow in place, and the trend early next week will be for even warmer conditions as the flow becomes southwesterly with high pressure sliding off the Carolina coast. In fact, we could be pushing 80 in some spots on Tuesday… through most will remain in the mid-70s. In any event, a return to "normal" will come Wednesday as a cold front presses through the region. Showers are expected with this frontal passage, though heavy rain is unlikely. Clearing commences for Thursday with cooler weather making an appearance… and preliminary signs are that the cooler weather will stick around for a few days as a trough digs into the East. Some guidance even suggests that we may see a coastal storm by the 1st of November,
and a little snow mixing with the rain before the precipitation ends… not that it would be wise to put stock into that possibility just yet. Something worth mentioning though for the weather weenies out there.
