17-Year-Old Glen Burnie Teen Arrested In Armed Carjacking

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP/WJZ) -- Anne Arundel police have arrested a 17-year-old who they say carjacked another teen at gunpoint after he was forced to leave a nearby high school.

Demonta Jerome Walker turned himself into police around 11 p.m. Sunday.

Police say he was thrown out of Meade Senior High School at Fort Meade after he went there to see his girlfriend Friday.

Soon after, police say Walker jumped in front of a car driven by a 17-year-old, pointed a gun at him and his dog and ordered him to drive to a convenience store 2 miles away. When they arrived, police say the armed teen got out and walked away. The other teen was uninjured.

The Glen Burnie teen now faces charges of carjacking, assault, kidnapping, animal cruelty, and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property.
