Adam Archuleta On Ravens Vs Jaguars

Adam Archuleta is on the call Sunday for CBS Sports when the Ravens welcome the Jaguars to M&T Bank Stadium. Adam was also a former Safety in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins. Scott asked Adam what he sees when he watches this Ravens team. "I think that since the bye week things are seemingly coming into place right now. Flacco has been on a tear here in the last three or four games coming off of one of his best games of the season. The way they are running the ball this year and anytime you can put pressure on Quarterbacks. You've got two elite pass rushers with Dumervil and Suggs on each side. That can cover up a lot of deficiencies in the secondary which all know the Ravens have. I think it's great that they've put themselves in a position right now where they can control their playoff destiny if they can win out."

The Jaguars have been scuffling to put it lightly when it comes to their performance this year. Jeremy asked Adam how players approach a game where the other team has been playing so poorly. "I remember, we go back to 2003, I think we were 13-2 and we wereplaying for a first round bye in the playoffs and we were playing the Detroit Lions and they were awful I think they had only won 1 or 2 games that year. We had a lot to play for; we had a chance to get that number one seed… They came out and stunned us. They beat us and we kind of weren't the same after that so I think it's very possible to overlook a team. But the Ravens haven't locked up the playoffs; they're still fighting to get into it. They're playing against the Jaguars who have been competitive at points throughout the season but haven't put a full 4 quarters together and I think they have some serious talent issues on the other side of the ball. So unless the Ravens come out and play the worst game of the year, the Jaguars are hurting right now."
