Steve Davis: How To Be Motivated For Jags Game

So, how do you get fired up to play a 2-11 team that is one of the 2 or 3 worst teams in the NFL? Manufacture motivation. And I have the perfect way.

Team solidarity for 3 guys. The Jacksonville Jaguars decided they didn't want Justin Forsett, Eugene Monroe and Darryl Smith anymore. These guys probably wouldn't mind rubbing it in Jacksonville's face a little, right?

If you're the other Ravens, here's your chance to stand up for your teammates.

Forsett got a meager 6 carries last year. Now, in the Jags defense, he was hurt. That said, he should make the probably this year. After all, he is third in the league in rushing. So it is fair to say they made a mistake. He probably wouldn't mind dropping 200 yards on them.

Monroe was traded away in the middle of the season because the Jags didn't think he was the left tackle of the future. I imagine he found that insulting. Who wouldn't.

Darryl Smith was a really good player for almost a decade. The thanks he got? Becoming a salary cap casualty.

It is easy to look past the Jaguars, but I guarantee you these three players won't and what is the harm, if you're the coaches, to try and use that to give their teammates a little added incentive. It might not be cause for a "win one for the Gipper" speech, but how about "let's show the Jags they blew it".
