Ed Norris: Some Good News For Ravens Fans

I know you're hurting after this weekend for a variety of reasons. It's bad enough to suffer a loss at the hands of the Patriots, but to lose as a result of essentially a trick play REALLY stings. It's been two days and we are all still licking our wounds and probably will for some time to come.  That's why I decided a little good news might be well timed right now.

If you haven't heard Steve Smith Sr. has said he's returning next year. He led the Ravens with 79 catches for 1065 yards, so that's good news.  His presence and attitude made a tremendous difference this season and I'm really happy to hear that he wants to play next year.

Even better news is the fact that Gary Kubiak has decided that he's staying as the OC for Baltimore. The Ravens offense finished the highest in 17 years (number 12) and set records for yards per game (364.9) as well as points scored (25.5).

Even in this weekend's loss to the Pats they put 31 points on the board including four Flacco touchdowns.  Basically the loss of those teams looking to hire Kubiak as a head coach has turned into a huge coup for the Ravens.

I hope that helped... that's all I got haha
